Erwin Arias

Photographer

Man in red embroidered shirt with serious expression poses for a formal portrait against neutral background.

I was born and raised in Mexico City, where I completed undergraduate studies in Biology and obtained a Ph.D. in Biomedical Science. Afterwards, I moved to the United States to pursue postdoctoral training at the University of Michigan.

One of the most valuable skills that I developed as a scientist is the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively. My interest in communication transcended my scientific work and led me to start a photography practice independently; first as a street photographer, exploring photographic styles and visual narratives; and more recently, as a commercial photographer working on assignments for brands like Bring A Trailer, Cars and Bids, Heal.Me, and Oak Street Health.

I’m based in St. Louis, Missouri, open to work on commissioned assignments.

Every experience starts with a simple conversation. Tell me what you have in mind, and I’ll help you shape the right session for your needs. I’d love to hear your ideas and help bring them to life.
